Kicking Things Off

I kicked things off on this beautiful Monday at Greenlake with some stretching and movement (and dog walking time). Today, I’m reminded that all it takes is showing up for yourself to start. I’ve been out of practice with a cold for over a week, so today I just reminded myself that I just needed to show up for myself and take it from there. Just being outside, doing some basic stretching and movement and walking a bit had me ready for the day and ready to get back after it, starting this week.

My mantra for today:

“Move slow and breathe. I know what to do and I’m already doing it.”

My “just get back to it” workout today:

  • 10 minutes seated breathing and meditation.
  • Seated hamstring stretch. Hold for 20 seconds, repeat 3x.
  • Standing hamstring stretch. Hold for 20 seconds.
  • Standing twist (back). 20 seconds.
  • Neck rotations, 20 seconds.
  • Zone 2 walk, 20 minutes.
  • Cool down. Appreciate some ducklings sitting in a pile.
